Remembrance day 2001

The Team took part along with the other services in this years Remembrance day march though Port Talbot,it was the first time that Port Talbot Coastguard had taken part but will not be the lastRetired Coastguard Arthur Aubrey was asked by the team to lay the wreath on behalf of the coastguard (see photo) in memory of all that had fallen in the service of the country and for all coastguards that are no longer with usIt was a very sad day with the terrible events still fresh in every ones mind of just a few days before at Port Talbot Steel Works which over looks the memorial We would like to thank Mr Mc Kenna Parade Marshal along with other veterans who took time to thank the team on what they said was a good march by the coastguard as it was some thing we where worrying about as there was no time to practice for this event
