On August the 19th 2001 Paged to a Vessel around on rocks at the mouth of the river Afan.Port Talbot ILB launched Two People aboard.one suffering from sea sickness ILB kept vessel head into sea until there was enough water to pull her off While Coastguards stood by with lines if needed,Vessel then taken to the DWH to check for damage RNLI crew man Leon Murphy staying aboard the yacht The vessel was the taken to the safety of the river at Port Talbot the home port of the vessel. Coastguard then assisted in tying the vessel up safely

The Lifeboat get`s a line to the vessel while Coastguard team stands by with lines on the beach and on the pier just incase

The Lifeboat Crew hold her off till the making tide can lift her off

At last she lifts off the rocks and the vessel is taken to check for damage at the deep water harbour

Happy that all is ok the vessel is taken to the river Afan
and with the assistance of the coastguard team is tied up along side
