Search team tasked to search river During the search a second flare seen being fired inland by search teams The mobile proceeding to the location Fire and Police who had also been called to Children lighting fires. When we arrived we found Smoke and Distress Flares The Children had been setting off. The Flares could easily of Killed one of them They are very Lucky to be Alive |

Paged at 15:34 Following a 999 call off a child saying her Friend was in trouble off Aberavon Beach Port Talbot Coastguard, Lifeboat, Police and Lifeguard unable to locate anyone in the sea Children Found sheltering in Toilets cold and wet and had swallowed water taken to Hospital for check up This is a good Example of way not to make hoax calls as it would of been easy to say this was a hoax and the children could of been in a bad way Thankfully they recovered |

Paged at 13:11 to a Report off Lifeguard that he had found a pile of clothing on the steps Port Talbot Lifeboat Launched and coastguard TEAM Searching Heilo 169 also Deployed, Cardiff SM also on scene, Mumbles CG Searching West bank River Neath. Port Talbot Lifeboat Hon Sec Reported after a few hours Searching that a man had called at the boathouse to claim the clothing. All units stood down He was a Diabetic and had gone for chips after his swim, didn’t know we was looking for him. So he sat and eat his chips watching what was going on These things happen but the cost was £250.000 for the call Press Report "Expensive Bag of Chips" |

Paged at 03:54 Following a Report off South Wales Police, that they had received a call off a Distressed Male who said he was going to jump off Briton Ferry Road Bridge Port Talbot Lifeboat also called And Rescue 169 Airborne Port Talbot Lifeboat Launched and Due to the State of tide Had to tow the Boat by Hand up river till they had water in the River. Port Talbot Coastguard Search Teams Searching River. After a Search of 4 Hours Person Located Safe and Well at a Relatives House Port Talbot Aux M Williams had to be Air lifted out of Area after Falling on riverbank. He suffered a Cracked Borne in his knee and a Fracture of his Cartilage |

The Team was paged by M.R.C.C. at 03:52 for a call from a mobile phone to say that a man was seen walking into the sea at Aberavon Beach and he was going down to take a look. Port Talbot mobile under way to sea front. Port Talbot Lifeboat put on stand by due to bad weather wind 6 to 7 mod sea big surf A Search carried out of the sea front. Search of promenade carried out by Police nothing found Search called off at 5:30 This call not only Endangered the teams lives it makes decision making hard. If you think it is a hoax we have to consider the lives of the Lifeboat crew. Not to mention the cost. Remember the Coastguard and Lifeboat do this service free to SAVE LIVES you are Endangering them you could kill someone so please think before you do |
