Safety Advice Flares

Check the date on your flares if you find they are out of date please replace them right away,an out of date flare could cost you your life. If anyone tries to fire one of these it could very well explored in your hand, they become unstable over time and may well go off on their own accord. The other problem is that they may not go off at all,when you need them most at sea with a problem. If you have any out of date please take them to your nearest Coastguard or Police Station but remember Don't fire them off and Replace them right away your life could depend on it.

We have even had people that have been rescued that said the flares never went off,only to find they bought them at a car boot sale and were empty. It may sound funny but believe me it wasn't they had been adrift for hours before being reported missing and were not in a good condition when the Lifeboat located them.
