Pictured here is the Quadpod made by troll used by cliff teams the idea is for the cliff man and the casualty to be recovered by lifting them over the cliff edge
We use it for recovery on our piers where there are holes in places of 25ft and it gives use a more direct lift. It also has the advantage of keeping the ropes clear of the rocks where they can wear or become trapped
Here it is being used by our head tester Adam.
As you can see it is secured by prussic slings for extra safety

We have four piers on our guard one on Aberavon Beach. With the rest the other side of the Afan River making up the deep water harbor. The Longest is the south breakwater which is over a mile long All are used by Fishermen we spend a lot of time training in recovery of our dummy. Adam is wearing a Troll IBEXX Harness which became standard in September 1997
