Trike Girls Hurt

A Briton Ferry Teenager is in hospital with a suspected fractured neck and another has facial injuries after a motorbike crash on Aberavon beach yesterday. Both aged 14 years old both had been riding a all terrain three wheeler bike along the beach when it hit a rock,throwing them on the sand at about 3:00 pm. Both youngsters were airlifted to Morriston hospital from the Ferry bend by a helicopter from Chivenor. The Port Talbot Coastguard team called the helicopter because it was considered too difficult to stretcher the girls to the waiting ambulance. The girls were supervised but hit a rock the hospital said one of the girls had a suspected fractured neck but was in a stabile condition.

Note since this call we have had to use helicopter`s to airlift a motor cyclist (Back injury),Para Glider (Arm Injury) and a school boy (Shoulder Injury)
